Does the secret to staying young lie in your pillow and the way you sleep?
“We spend a third of our lives sleeping,” says Nurse Jamie. “Our head is the weight of a bowling ball, and if you sleep on your side you are essentially etching those lines into your face and neck.”
In pursuit to warding off those “pillow lines,” Nurse Jamie crafted what is now known as the Beauty Bear Age Delay Pillow. Along with getting the recommended eight hours of sleep per night, Nurse Jamie also recommends four other tips when it comes to beauty rest and a healthy lifestyle!
1. Don’t sleep on your side. Similar to how people have more sun damage on their driving side, you have more lines and wrinkles etched on your sleeping side.
2. Always wash your face before bedtime. This is a must!
3. Don’t forget about you neck, décolleté and hands when it comes to moisturizing.
4. Drinking plenty of water is an age-old trick, but it works. Flushing toxins from your system helps skin look bright and clear. Drink half of your body weight in ounces as a general rule of thumb. (Ex. If you’re 120 pounds, drink 60 ounces of water)
