Nurse Jamie’s Top 4 Winter Tips for Acne-Prone Skin

Nurse Jamie’s Top 4 Winter Tips for Acne-Prone Skin

Cold winter weather can easily harm sensitive acne prone skin. Plus with the use of acne fighting products, the skin tends to become dry, flaky, irritated and more prone to breakouts.

As the weather gets cooler and humidity levels decrease, the skin tends to dry out and become dehydrated. The result is trapped oil and bacteria underneath the surface of the skin leading to increased breakouts.

  1. Choose Your Cleanser Wisely

Using a gentle cleanser will still help remove any unwanted residue from the surface of the skin, but it won’t leave you feeling dry or tight after washing your face. Try Nurse Jamie’s Clear 1 Acne Cleansing Bar in a Jar.

Cover the entire affected area on face and/or body with a thin layer, allowing lather to remain on skin about 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with once daily and then gradually increase to twice daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

  1. Use A Hydrating Moisturizer

While acne skin may mean oily skin, it is still especially crucial to moisturize after cleansing your face in the winter months.  We recommend following cleansing with Nurse Jamie’s Clear1 Acne Cleansing Bar in a Jar with the Clear 2 Clarifying Moisturizer.

Clear2  helps to soothe and hydrate skin to promote complexion clarity, and also helps keep pores clear without causing irritation. Ample doses of Kojic Acid and Phenylethyl Resorcinol help to brighten and even out skin tone. Soothe and hydrate delicate, sensitive skin without aggravating blemishes.

  1. Boost hydration

Hydration is very important in winter, when the temperatures drop. Be sure to include Hyaluronic acid products in your winter beauty regimen, as it serves as a natural humectant, which means it takes water from the air and locks it into your skin. Try Nurse Jamie’s hyaluronic acid rich EGF Botanical Complex.

This moisturizer was originally created for professional use in Hollywood. Breakthrough technology combining Epidermal Growth Factor, Plant Stem Cells and Peptides provides intense hydration for renewed and restored youth.

The EGF Botanical Complex is a lightweight yet powerful moisturizing serum containing Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving hydration and giving skin renewed suppleness. Our proprietary treatment helps to reduce visible signs of aging by improving skin’s firmness, texture and tone.

Drinking enough water can also help to give your skin the moisture it needs while helping  to maintain elasticity and prevent dryness.

Of course, never change the usage of your at home skin care products without checking with your specialist.  Stay beautiful.
